Forest Dynamics and Ecological Uncertainty

Forest dynamics and ecological uncertainty

I study how forests respond to climate change, disturbances, and societal pressures across time and scales. My work has examined wind and snow damage, pathogen impacts, and regeneration dynamics, showing that forest structure, composition, and disturbance exposure strongly shape future stand development and resilience, and that different management strategies lead to clear trade-offs among ecosystem services.
